MANIAC CHALLENGE 2009

7th IEEE International Conference on
Pervasive Computing and Communications
PerCom 2009
Galveston, Texas, March 9-13, 2009

MANIAC Challenge is a competition to stimulate research in mobile ad hoc network interoperability and cooperation. It will be held in conjunction with PerCom 2009 on March 8-9, 2009 in Galveston, TX.

Participating teams will come together to form an ad hoc network. Data is transmitted to participating nodes and each team cooperates by forwarding data to the destined nodes. Data monitoring and manipulation tools are provided to each team to keep track of the volume of data flowing around and through them.

Teams will be judged on a combination of factors, including, how much traffic destined to them successfully reaches, how little power a team uses to forward data, and the quality of the team's design.
